Our chalet

Located only a few kilometres from Chamonix, close to the village of Argentiere, our chalet accommodation is brand new and built to high specification. We have 2 chalets adjacent to each other. One has 5 twin rooms, the other 3 twin rooms. In the larger chalet, there is a dining room-cum-living area where everyone on the holiday eats at the same table. Both chalets have floor-to-ceiling windows offering fabulous views of Mont Blanc and the Chamonix Valley and a south-west facing balcony: an ideal place to enjoy a drink and an Alpine sunset. There are 6 twin rooms with en-suite facilities and 2 twin rooms that have a shared bathroom with bath and shower. Beds can be arranged as twin share or doubles in both chalets. For our Family Adventures program we have a Games Room and TV with a selection of DVDs that can be wheeled-out in bad weather and emergencies.

The garden is a great place to have a summer BBQ or relax in the Jacuzzi and there is a forest nearby where you can go for a quiet walk or a run-around. Our minibuses are available for drop-offs and pick-ups if you want to go to Chamonix for the evening.

We pride ourselves on our meals aiming at quality and variety. We provide large breakfasts, picnic lunches and three-course evening meals with complimentary wine. Our chef caters as best he can for special dietary needs and pays special attention to children’s meals.

We also run our chalet for skiers in the winter. Chamonix has over 150km of piste and arguably the best off-piste and back country skiing in the Alps. If you are interested in winter activities please click on to our sister company mountainretreats.co.uk

Mountain refuges
On some trips we head into the mountains for over-night expeditions. This entails spending 1 or 2 nights in mountain huts. This is a great way to experience high mountain environments and meet fellow walkers and climbers. They are well appointed providing good food, warmth and a dormitory bed to sleep in. You can only reach them by walking and most of the supplies are brought in by helicopter. Looking at the clear night sky from the veranda of a refuge is an unforgettable experience.

Hotels
If your trip is not spending the week at our chalet in Chamonix we use a variety of hotels dotted around the region. These are good quality, family-run establishments representing value and the local culture. They have been picked and checked out by us.
